The Vocational Training Council (VTC) and Shell Hong Kong Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 14th July 2025. This marks a significant step forward in advancing green engineering education and energy transition initiatives in Hong Kong. 

The partnership began with VTC's "SOPHIE" solar power vehicle that competed in Shell Eco-marathon, showcasing Hong Kong's engineering talent and Shell's support for sustainable tech education. The collaboration builds upon Shell's longstanding support for VTC's engineering programs, particularly through industry knowledge sharing and practical learning opportunities that bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world application.

Together, we will promote green transportation solutions, accelerate EV adoption, and inspire secondary students' interest in engineering. By combining Shell's industry expertise with VTC's educational excellence, we contribute to Hong Kong's sustainable transformation. This strategic alliance demonstrates our shared commitment to nurturing future-ready engineering talent and developing practical solutions for a greener tomorrow.
